Before venturing into the wedding business you should know first your edge from your competitors, how will you or what strategy should you do to stand out from the rest of them?  If you need some knowledge about personal branding, read on!

1.    What do you want to be known for?

Do you want to be known as a gown rental that offers designer gowns at a cheaper price?  Do you want to be known as the caterer who offers quality Chinese dishes? Choose an image you want to be known for because that will make you stand out.


2.    Create a website

Aside from creating an account on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram you shouldn’t forget to make a website.  Consumers always look for a website because the platform of the company is there, the rest of the products and everything they need to know about you.


3.    Know your audience

Facebook is for everyone, teens, parents, oldies, it knows no age and gender while Instagram and Twitter are more on teens and young adults, Pinterest is for young adults and parents.  Be engage on the right social media channel.

4.    Printouts

Don’t forget newspapers and flyers, they still work!  Many people are still reading newspapers and looking for flyers when they don’t have time to read it straight away.  Go to the local media in your town and ask for inquiries.


5.    There will always be haters

Prepare yourself for bashers and haters, they are part of the business even before social media.  Whether you are just a startup or you’ve been in the industry for so long, they will say negative things about you.  Just accept the criticisms positively because it will help you improve.
