Feb 23, 2018

If you don’t have any experiences with vendors, then this scene might scare you because you literally don’t know how to handle it and what to do first.  You may even be ranting at them right now on the phone because who wouldn’t?  Let us walk you through the process so you can handle this situation like a pro.

 1.    Don’t panic

A situation like this is inevitable.  Sometimes you don’t just work well with your professional that you need to cancel them or they need to cancel you to prevent the worst from happening.  This is normal so don’t panic and stress yourself.

 2.    Re-read your contract

Before agreeing with your vendor you must ask if there will be a written contract. Why?  Because this will save you if they cancel the last minute. Never trust a verbal agreement.

 3.    Keep a backup list

From the first day of looking for your potential professionals, you need to keep a list for plan A to plan Z!  This will serve as your backup plan.  If they cancel you can contact other professionals who you have talked to earlier.

 4.    Get help

Don’t hesitate to ask help, especially if you have a wedding planner.  They know a lot of vendors who can help you even if it is the last minute.  They have handled situations like this before and you will learn a lot from them.
